Before summer ends and school starts back, take the family out to Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie for the Balloona Palooza Hot Air Balloon Festival August 26, 27, and 28. Three days of hot air balloon rides, food and entertainment, and a nighttime show will be the perfect end to the summer holiday.
The fun begins at 4:00 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday, and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. Enjoy live music, tethered balloon rides, a car show, and arts and crafts booths. The kids will have fun with inflatables and carnival rides. and the many food choices.
When the sun goes down, get ready for a whole new show when the hot air balloons light up the night for a “balloon glow show.”
Each day’s events last until midnight. Tickets are $12 for adults, and $8 for children, military, and senior citizens. Parking passes are $5. There are VIP passes available for $50, and include admission, parking, private restroom facilities and catering, as well as special access hours.)
