The Grand Prairie Police Department is searching for a missing 16 year old, Amy Botton. Police said Botton may be with Grand Prairie High School math teacher, Michael Perez, 25 years of age, who she met at school.
Perez and Botton are possibly driving a 2011 black Toyota Camry with TX license plate CS8-G465
or a 2014 grey Toyota Camry TX license plate DDP-1381
Grand Prairie PD are concerned for the juvenile’s welfare and are asking the public’s assistance in locating her.
In a statement Grand Prairie ISD said:
Grand Prairie Police notified school officials of concerns involving Grand Prairie High School math teacher Michael Perez potentially involving an alleged improper relationship with a student. The teacher has been removed from all duties and prohibited from being on District property. District officials will continue to cooperate fully with the Grand Prairie Police Department during the ongoing proceedings.
“If true, this is a reprehensible violation of an educator’s responsibility to students. Betraying a child’s trust is outrageous,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Susan Hull. “We urge law enforcement to take the strongest possible action as soon as possible.”
