Final trusses, measuring 160 feet and 384 feet, were lifted more than 60 feet into the air today and installed on the spectacular retractable roof enclosure at Grand Prairie’s Epic Waters.
Once complete in fall 2017, the 62,000-square-foot Epic Waters will be the largest water park under a single roof in the United States.
The water park will feature rides that have never been seen in the southwest including an indoor aqua loop, the first boomerang and constrictor combination water slide, and the first two-person aqua sphere attraction in the United States.
Epic Waters is part of the 120,000-square-foot Epic “life changing center” under construction in Grand Prairie’s 172-acre Grand Central development. In addition to the water park, The Epic will feature multi-purpose courts with built-in seating, a grand atrium with high tech library, theater, recording studio, large fitness center, second floor track, unique adventure track, artist studio, culinary arts room, youth game room, indoor lap and resistance pool and an outdoor amphitheater. The site will also feature PlayGrand Adventures, a 10-acre all-inclusive playground for all ages and abilities.
