The President and CEO of the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce, Lynn McGinley, was honored for her distinguished service on June 21, 2017 in League City, Texas by her peers in the TCCE (Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives.) Lynn McGinley accepted the Arthur A. Roberts Award for Distinguished Service as the TCCE commended her for her display of leadership, willingness to volunteer, and service to her peers within the association throughout the year. The Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives offers this prestigious award only to those who have significantly gone above and beyond what was required to assist in the advancement of the association’s missions throughout the year.
Radonna Hessel, the present TCCE Chairman who offered Lynn McGinley her Arthur A. Roberts Award, commended McGinley by saying that “ The great boxer Muhammad Ali once said that service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth. If that is the case, Lynn has built a 20 room mansion through her commitment and exemplary service to this organization. She has taken on one of the most detailed and difficult tasks of governance and executed it with grace ensuring our association is aligned, equipped and prepared for the future.” Members of the TCCE appeared overwhelmed with gratitude toward McGinley as they continued honoring her extraordinary work for the association. Aaron Cox, a member of the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives, noted “Lynn embodies the spirit of service and commitment. Through her efforts, TCCE is a better organization and the chamber profession in Texas is stronger. Lynn has helped elevate our profession and ensured that all of Texas continues to prosper…we are truly grateful.”
Lynn McGinley is presently the Vice-Chairman of Governance on the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives Board of Directors. During her time here she has worked diligently with her colleagues to amend the association’s internal guidelines. McGinley has also assisted in writing a brand new handbook for the board’s rules of governance. Although Lynn McGinley has completed phenomenal work for the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives Association, those in her home town of Grand Prairie should feel rest assured that McGinley will continue to perform just as diligently for their community.
The Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives was established in 1908 with the intended goal of providing both executives and professional employees with networking opportunities as well as resources that would help each member’s future endeavors. The TCCE is the oldest variation of a chamber of commerce in the United States and continues to assist other chambers of commerce throughout the state of Texas
